I’m a content strategy and insights leader who blends editorial judgment and data analysis to help organizations decide what to say, how to say it, and where it will resonate.
Things I believe about content:
Storytelling is ingrained in us and spurs action better than data alone.
Effective content solves a problem or answers a question for the audience.
B2B audiences are people, too. Write for humans, not corporations.
Simple is always better.
A good content creator optimizes both the substance (the "what") and the structure (the "how") of a piece.
Written content will remain effective for a long time, despite the rise of video.
"Best story wins" - Morgan Housel

I wrote a biography of Thaddeus Stevens for middle-grade students. The book explores the remarkable life of a Civil War-era congressman who fought tirelessly to end slavery and secure equal rights for Black Americans. My goal is to inspire young readers with Stevens’ enduring principles of equality, integrity, and personal growth.
Reviews:
“This well-researched book brings history to life, highlighting Thaddeus Stevens' dedication to equality and his vital role in America’s story.” —Ross Hetrick, Founder and President, Thaddeus Stevens Society
"Waugh offers readers the real-life story of Stevens's journey from a poor, bullied child to a fierce advocate for racial equality and social justice. The writing is simple, clear, accessible, and enriched with a diverse range of visual inclusions, such as photos, drawings, newspaper clippings, and archival materials, all of which help to put it into historical context. —Jamie Michele, Readers’ Favorite
